Copyright & Permissions Service

DescriptionAn outline of copyright and permission services at AUS Library. AUS started the Copyright & Permissions Service in Fall 2009 to help faculty, students and staff understand, comply with U.S. and UAE copyright law and learn how to avoid copyright violations and legally use copyrighted materials in the classroom. The library can help you obtain permission from the copyright holder for uses not covered by Fair Use. Permission can be obtained either by contacting the copyright holder directly or through a licensing agent (Copyright Clearance Center). This webpage will help address some questions you may have about Copyright, Permissions and Copying Guidelines. Although this information is not meant to be legal advice, the AUS Copyright & Permissions Service is here to assist faculty, students and staff with copyright issues and questions related to copyrighted materials use.
