A poster submitted in ENG 207 taught by Dr. David Prescott for the Fall 2013 semester.en_US
Our EMPD topic discusses how wind turbines and solar panels can both be installed on ships, in order to conserve the fuel consumed and reduce the subsequent harmful emissions. The implantation of this solution leads to problems such as the reduction in stability of the ship, the high cost of installation and the amount of space required for installation. The project discusses viable solutions to these problems, from an engineering perspective, and in addition, evaluates the solutions under the light of practicality and efficiency.en_US
